Terms of Use

Conditions governing the use of the VisionSleuth AI research platform

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing VisionSleuth AI, you acknowledge that this platform is an academic research prototype developed as part of a Master's thesis in Bioinformatics at Üsküdar University. Use of this system constitutes acceptance of the following terms and conditions.

2. Academic and Research Use

VisionSleuth AI is developed exclusively for academic research, educational demonstration, and thesis evaluation purposes. The system employs a fine‑tuned YOLO11 deep learning model for object detection and is not certified for operational law‑enforcement, judicial, or commercial security applications.

Users are granted a non‑exclusive, non‑transferable right to interact with the platform for the purposes of evaluating its capabilities in AI‑assisted forensic video analysis.

3. Limitation of Liability

Detection results, threat assessments, and forensic reports generated by VisionSleuth AI are produced by machine learning algorithms and are subject to inherent limitations including false positives, false negatives, and confidence‑score variability. These outputs must not be treated as conclusive forensic evidence.

The developers, Üsküdar University, and affiliated supervisors shall not be held liable for any decisions, actions, or consequences arising from the use of this platform or its outputs.

4. Data Handling

Uploaded video content is processed transiently and deleted automatically upon analysis completion. Users should not upload content containing sensitive personal data, classified materials, or footage obtained without appropriate legal authorization. For full data handling details, refer to the Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

The VisionSleuth AI system, including its architecture, trained models, algorithms, and user interface, is the intellectual property of the thesis author and Üsküdar University. Reproduction, reverse engineering, or redistribution of any component without explicit written permission is prohibited.

6. Service Availability

As a research prototype deployed on shared infrastructure, VisionSleuth AI is provided on an “as‑is” basis without guarantees of uptime, performance, or availability. The platform may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time as part of ongoing thesis development.

7. Contact

For questions regarding these terms, please contact the project developer at fatma.duran.ai@gmail.com.
